The Centennial Exhibition collection contains materials related to the planning and execution of the exhibition. Documents are predominantly from the United States Centennial Commission and are mostly printed form letters and announcements. In addition to such papers, the collection includes several scrapbook collections of ephemera from the Centennial that include trade cards, advertisements, visitors' guides, maps, tickets, sheet music, and a host of other items. Rounding out the collection is a series of photographs. There are over 3000 images in the Centennial Photographic Company's collection of stereo-cards, along with several additional boxes of images depicting the construction and final appearance of buildings and exhibits.
